With this color settings even 1000px brushes draw with no lags.

I experienced serious lags for big brushes sizes and found that switching to RGB/Alpha 8-bit integer/channel color settings for document completely solve the issue. If you have a fairly good computer and none of the above has helped, message me and maybe we can work out another solution. TBH though, at this point it really may be a computer limitation. Increasing/decreasing the RAM Memory Limit, CPU Limit, or Frame Rendering Clone Limit might help. If nothing works, try messing around with the performance tab. If you are still experiencing lag, try going back to that setting you just changed and play around with the Scaling Mode, Texture Buffer, or even try disabling Canvas Graphic Acceleration completely. Now mess around with Krita and see if this has fixed the lagging issues. Not saying this will work for everyone, but try this first before you give up on Krita:ġ: Go to the settings tab and click on "Configure Krita."Ģ: Under "Display", go to the Canvas Graphic Acceleration boxģ: Change the Renderer from "Open GL" to "Direct3D 11" THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASEĪ lot of people stop using Krita because of the lag issues, but a lot of the time it is an easy fix! I am making this post in hopes that the next person to google this might come here instead of the other posts that blame the computer. People just say it is the computer's fault or to just use a smaller canvas size.

There are a lot of people with lag issues on Krita, and so far I can not find a single place with a solution.
